Newsy News September 2020
Hello everyone,
A general meeting of the Society will be held in the Launceston Library next Monday, 7th September, commencing at 9.35 am and finishing at 12 noon. The homework is to write a promo for a TV children’s show.
I have attached the minutes of our August general meeting.
The judge, Sally Odgers has made her decisions on the winners of the Rose Frankcombe Short Story Award 2020 and the information is on our Facebook page and shortly on our website. A big vote of thanks must go to her because not only does Sally judge the competition, but also writes notes for all those authors on the shortlist as well as the winning stories.
A reminder that the Robyn Mathison Poetry Prize 2020 is in full swing and details can be found on Facebook, Stylus and our website.
Our AGM will be held next month Please contact me if you would like a nomination form sent to you, and a form can also be found on the last page of the Stylus newsletter.
I am hoping you can send me short stories, poetry or information on your latest achievements for the next Stylus newsletter, due out at the end of this month. Perhaps you have had a book launch or won an award. I would love to hear about it.
Bye for now,
Secretary Wendy
