Great news everybody, we can begin holding our regular meetings at the Launceston Library from next month.
I would like to thank our treasurer, Ros Sydes, who has taken the trouble to make the following bookings for us.
She couldn't fit us into the first Monday for August, but Friday, 7th August was free from 9.30 to 12 noon so Ros booked us in there to be safe. Ros managed to get us into the first Monday of the month for the following months. up to December 7th, except for November long weekend when it is the 9th November. So other months booked are 7th September, 5th October, both at 9.30 am to 12 noon. Please put the dates in your diary, it is probably very empty at the moment with everything cancelled.
If you can join us we would love to catch up with everyone again. Social distancing will be strictly adhered to. It would be nice if you could write a short piece about what you have been doing during the COVID 19 crisis to read to the group.
Anyone who is unable to come along is welcome to send a poem or short story to me on the same theme and I will read them at the meeting.
You still have until the 30th July to send me something for Stylus. Perhaps you have had a book released or a short story or poem submitted to a contest. Or a poem or short story you would like to see in Stylus.
Our Rose Frankcombe Short Story Award finishes on the 31st July. All members are welcome to submit a story for the Rose Award. The judge this year will be Sally Odgers.
Ros would like to have more membership fees paid, perhaps you have forgotten. Details are on the last page of the June/July Stylus or email me for bank details. You can also pay at the meeting in August.
I look forward to seeing you again,
Bye for now,
